Kaleb made my mom's last two days both more bearable for my family and more comfortable for my loved one. I cannot say thank you enough to this fine nurse and wonderful human, Kaleb.
I think this person shows not only he cares about his job but also shows deep care for his patients. I have been truly blessed to have had him as my nurse and feel he will be truly blessed for years to come here at UT or wherever life takes him.

My mom was admitted to 6 East for comfort care due to a colon perforation. Kaleb was her nurse two 12 hour days in a row. He was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly a Godsend to me while my mother was transitioning through her last living hours. Kaleb answered so many questions that I had, continually asked if he could bring us anything, and was so attentive and caring to my dying mom. He was exactly what you hope and pray for in difficult circumstances as we were experiencing. Kaleb made my mom's last two days both more bearable for my family and more comfortable for my loved one. I cannot say thank you enough to this fine nurse and wonderful human, Kaleb. May you be blessed going forward and continue to be a ray of light for those who are suffering.

Kaleb is often recognized for going above and beyond for his patients and connecting on an emotional level. Kaleb is FREQUENTLY recognized by patients, families, and peers for his outstanding work with our Comfort Care population. He has been identified by our Palliative and Hospice teams as our go-to resource for improvements in how we provide end-of-life care. Not only does he voice appropriate concerns to advocate for patients that can no longer speak for themselves, but he is also willing and able to teach others how to do the same. Most recently, he partnered with another nurse to teach a section of our end of life care class to nurses from our own unit as well as guests from other departments. He's truly found his calling with Comfort Care patients and his passion for this patient population is proven through the care he provides to these patients and families every day.
