Kalif was our son's nurse for several nights in a row. This hospital is extremely lucky to have the quality of nurses that it does. Every night he has taken exceptional care of our son, but one night our son was upset of the possibility of a tracheostomy and about how his breathing trial went. I (as his mother) expressed concern to his nurse about the issue and Kalif offered to talk with the patient and explain everything to him in depth. He came in, took one knee and got up close to our son so he could focus on what he was telling him. He started out by saying how impressed he was with the patient and what a neat person he was. He then explained the trials and why they were necessary and also told him if he needed to have a tracheostomy - it would be much better for him and might just be temporary. It was very professional and it calmed the patient down. Kalif was always trying to please us and he is an exceptional and irreplaceable employee to this hospital. I don't think I have ever met anyone who has treated our son with so much respect.
