Kallie simply stands out. She is one of the highest performing nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Kallie is always willing to help others. No matter how busy she is, she will stop to teach, listen, learn, and assist. To me it seems like Kallie was destined to be a nurse. There is something special about what Kallie has to offer. 

Kallie's background as a psych nurse helps her provide a higher level of care to patients. She seems to pick up on patients' emotional needs in a way that I have never seen a nurse do before. 

Recently, Kallie played a very special role in saving two patients' lives. She triaged one of these patients over the phone. She held the patient on the line for over an hour, while waiting for rescue to arrive. She knew exactly what to say, when to say it, and most importantly, HOW to say it. Kallie showed true bravery and stamina during this encounter. She remained calm throughout the entire duration, and this despite the high level of emotional distress that she was enduring. In that moment I could not have been more proud of Kallie in her performance. 

Again, Kallie saved the life of a member of our community. She was on her lunch break and she found a person unresponsive. Despite the person being much larger than Kallie, she found the strength to pull them out of their car. She called EMS and helped him medically until they arrived. Kallie's quick actions with this person made the difference between life and death. 

We are truly blessed to have Kallie working as a nurse in our community and for our organization. She is a very special person and strives to help others.
