She is AMAZING! She made me feel safe at Swedish. It was my first time ever being admitted in a hospital, I was in shock over my diagnosis and did not have any family and friends to support me. She treated me like her family and always checked on me, even if I wasn't on her rounds. As a person of color, I didn't feel like I was being heard or listened to but Kamal did. When I was in respiratory distress and trying my best to use my inhaler, she happened to check on me and she saved my life! I will never forget her and will always think of her fondly. Thank you for everything you did!
