Kameryn Vaiagae, RN

Kam Vaiagae went above and beyond in showing compassion with a patient. This patient was having panic attacks on the machine related to having to sit for long periods and feeling tied down with the blood lines. Kam would sit with her, hold her hand, and start talking about things to distract her. This patient wore her hair in pigtails every day. The conversation grew regarding her pigtails and why she wore her hair that way. Kam brought red and blue hair extensions so this patient could wear them in the clinic. Her character became Harley Quinn, one of the DC characters. This new character helped her get through her anxiety and fear. Harley Quinn's character was fearless, strong, and witty. Within days, this patient grew out of her panic attacks and started to enjoy coming to the clinic for her socialization and meeting new friends.
