2:00 PM pain block on my ankle replacement had worn off. Pain level 9.5 out of 10. No medications were helping. Kami kept asking questions of me. We were both frustrated. Nothing was helping but Kami kept searching for something. I was not her only patient. One other patient was dealing with dementia - not easy! Kami finally asked enough questions of me and tried Valium, first relief in 8 hours. Her shift was just about over. She could have done nothing and past me off, but thankfully did not!

Kami doesn't often work on the Surgical/Ortho floor. Kami usually helps deliver babies. She did what had to be done - Thank you Kami!
