My daughter has been a patient at NCH for months. During this time she has had many outstanding nurses, techs, and physicians. We are grateful for each and every one of them. However, every so often you get that one that stands out above the rest. That is the case with Kandi. She smiled continuously. You knew she was swamped by the way her phone rang continually. She was cheerful and upbeat and always had encouraging words for our daughter. Each evening before leaving she stopped by each of her patients' rooms to say goodnight. She made you feel like you were important and that nothing was too big or small. If you needed her, you called. She encouraged hope in my daughter. After 2 months a patient wants nothing more than to be home in their own bed. Kandi was a light in a dark time for my daughter. She is a great asset to NCH and an amazing, empathetic, hardworking, caring nurse. Thank you!
