When I brought my 6-year-old into the ER for facial swelling, both of us were frantic. Kandy was right there when we stepped foot into the door. When it came time to start her complex IV, Kandy was there to help. She not only got the IV, but she talked my daughter through the process, as well as distracted her. In speaking, Kandy explained how she works with me and has little grandchildren. Kandy was incredibly patient with my daughter and a voice of great comfort. I have witnessed Kandy being a source of comfort for many patients, but being on the receiving end with my family was a relief. My daughter still talks about Nurse Grandma Kandy with such positivity rather than having a negative memory of such a chaotic situation. Thank you, Kandy, for your excellent care for my sweet girl!
