Kara Gasky took care of our baby throughout her 6 weeks in the NICU. Kara is a very experienced skilled nurse, but what I love about her even more than that is that she does everything she can to make the NICU experience feel more personal and warm and less like a hospital. She creates art to decorate the babies’ cribs, dresses the babies up in matching clothes that fit (with parents permission), turns bath time into “spa day” among much more - just generally loving on the babies and their families in the most fun way possible. Whenever Kara was my daughter's nurse - I knew I’d find her clean, comfy, safe, and accessorized. I have art projects that Kara made for my baby that I will keep forever. Kara does all this in her free time and even goes shopping for the babies. She is selfless, creative, and loving, and made a very difficult time much more bearable for our family.
