My mother was admitted in November, and Kara Jeske was one of her nurses. She was very attentive to my mother’s needs and mine. When my mother’s health started to decline, Kara was compassionate to me letting me tell her of my mother, and when she heard that my mother was trying (to no avail) to hold on until Christmas, she took it upon herself to gather the other nurses on the floor and bring mom a lit and decorated Christmas tree and said “we can make any day Christmas, not only Dec. 25th.” This caring gesture lit up the room as well as our hearts.
Kara was able to communicate to me what she was doing every time she was looking after my mom’s needs, along with being genuinely concerned for my mom, I feel Kara went above and beyond her nursing duties.
I know in my heart that if she would hear of my mother’s passing, she would have come to me with condolences and a heavy heart.
