Karen A Schreiter, RN

Karen Schreiter is an exceptional nurse who will go to any length to help a patient. This week, we received several phone calls from a distressed patient. Karen managed to add him to her already busy schedule. When he was receiving fluids, he was not acting like his usual self. Karen sat with him for several minutes to find out what was wrong. Karen shared her concerns with the physician and asked if he could get a head CT scan. Within two hours, the patient was diagnosed and admitted to the hospital. She saved his life and dramatically improved the quality of his life. Karen improves the lives of every patient she works with. There is no nurse more deserving of this award than Karen Schreiter.
