Karen is an exemplary nurse whose interactions with patients and their families are always kind and informative. She is always a patient advocate.
A family told a story of their loved one who was a heavy smoker. He had lung cancer and his prognosis was not good. The family was impressed by Karen's kindness and non-judgmental acceptance that he was a smoker.
As time went on the family felt very supported by Karen as the patient, who was their father, brother, nephew, and son, passed from this life to another. Karen will always stand out as the angel who helped them through a very difficult time.
