Karen Boe, RN

I recently had a consultation appointment in this clinic, and the provider decided I needed to have a couple of biopsies performed during the visit. I was obviously very anxious about this. Karen was the RN who got me ready for the exam and procedure and was present throughout. She could tell I was very nervous and also experiencing pain from the procedure.

Throughout the time of the exam and biopsy, Karen was by my side, held my hand since I was alone and offered reassurances and reminders to take deep breaths, and made suggestions of other relaxation techniques. When the procedure was done, she helped me get cleaned up and dressed.

She also took extra time with me to make sure I was okay physically and emotionally, and she did all this while also assisting the provider with the procedure, including retrieving extra instruments for the biopsy. As a fellow nurse, I was really impressed with her calm, compassionate, and professional manner and skill. Rarely have I felt so seen and cared for in a doctor's office.
