Our DAISY Nurse, Karen Brosnihan, is patient focused and always makes a special connection with her patients. This patient states some very obvious yet wonderful qualities about our DAISY Nurse:
“I had been in the ED from 630pm to 5 am – the next morning when her shift came on, Karen immediately came into my room to see how I was doing. I was in severe pain and she checked when my next pain med was due; she came back with it at the exact time I could have it – She frequently stopped to see how I was doing – she had a wonderful bedside manner and showed how much she truly likes her job. She demonstrated how much she cares about her patient which is a rarity in this day and age when things seem to happen too fast. I really want to thank her for caring about me and explaining what was happening to me each day. I made a special connection with her and she in turn made me feel very comfortable.
