Our friend, G, was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. We got treatment from a different organization for a few months, then transferred to Sutter. We did not know what to expect or whom we would meet. Even through it all, the nurses at Sutter are great, but Karen always made us feel at ease and understood our worry about moving to a new treatment facility. She would meet G with a smile, give him warm blankets and snacks, and pay attention to his pain. She was basically an advocate for his care. Now that the treatment is coming to an end, we want to thank her so much for always going above and beyond expectations. Every little thing mattered!
