Karen was always careful to explain what we needed to do and why. She was always smiling and took every opportunity to make sure we understood our family member's care and health care needs. When I was transported to the hospital, my heart rate was 209 and I was quite afraid. Karen made me feel welcomed and helped to calm my anxiety.

Karen goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is always willing to help out patients, their families and staff any time the need arises (even before we realize something needs to be done). She gladly will pick up for staff at the last minute. She is an example of a Magnet Nurse!
