Dr. Cuvar teaches undergraduate nursing students at Saint Louis University. Her students nominated her for her positive, caring attitude. They said she was enthusiastic and recognized her love for the nursing profession. One student said "when I made a mistake, she corrected me in a kind and understanding way". She admired her for the way she cared for her students, and noted that she was like a parental figure to them. Another student said she embodied what it means to be a holistic nurse and exemplary role model, and she aspires to be half of the person she is.
