Karen Daubney, Registered Nurse

Karen is my daughter's Renal nurse. My daughter is not only dealing with kidney relapsing but also with a dental problem, asthma, eczema, and emotional problems. It is a lot for a seven-year-old child to manage and is a lot for parents to go through. Karen Daubney has been there for my daughter every single step of her journey. No matter what’s happening, she’s always there. No matter what time of the day or night, she's always there. What makes her super special is not only supporting my daughter but also supporting her parents, especially me, her mum. Karen helped me stand up when it was really hard. We are going through many hospital visits and specialists, but Karen is just a person who is making the NHS special.
