Karen is a great nurse. She communicates effectively with surgeons, other nurses, leaders, and her fellow technicians and nurses. She is always willing to help. She is a great preceptor and really engages her nursing students. She always has a positive attitude. She is a great advocate for her patients and always speaks up to learn or to clarify. She takes on educational opportunities, typically above and beyond her role as a nurse, within the department. For example, she lead an in-service regarding Malignant Hyperthermia this week. She is an enjoyable person to be around and a great asset to the Operating Room.

The OR is very proud of Karen and wishes her the best as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
