My father had many excellent nurses in the 6 weeks he was in the hospital but Karen went above and beyond to be sure he was taken care of. She was caring & compassionate both to my dad as well as my mom, who was there every day, all day with him. I especially appreciated the way she communicated everything going on with his care. A few days before his anticipated discharge he began to run a fever and ended up with an infection in his blood. She knew right away something serious was going on. She communicated with the doctors and got him the care he needed right away. His health deteriorated and we ultimately took him home with hospice care but I will never forget her kindness. It was obvious she really cared about my dad.
