Karen is an excellent nurse. She is a kind and caring individual who only wants the best for others. She has been my PACT RN for the past 4 years. I could not do it without her. She goes above and beyond when caring for our nation's veterans. She makes every veteran her #1 priority. Countless times, she has stayed late to review concerns with veterans, help them with ambulation to different departments or their cars, coordinate care between outside medical facilities, ensure they are doing well post discharge from facilities, ensure understanding of medications and immunizations, etc. The list is endless. She does not get flustered and overcomes obstacles to ensure our veterans are happy. When seeing patients, they always ask me to inform her "they were asking about her and to thank her for everything she has done for them."

In addition to her patient care, she is always looking for ways to improve the clinic and improve positive outcomes in primary care. She has participated in numerous performance improvement projects, a guide for women's health exams, etc.

She also always ensures to go above and beyond when working with any staff member. She is kind, friendly and truly a great individual. She is always looking to bring happiness to everyone's day.
