Karen J Wilson, RN

Karen was my daughter's nurse. She administered a blood transfusion to my daughter when my daughter was not feeling very well. She was very kind and compassionate. As well, when my daughter became emotional, Karen was sensitive to the fact that I was able to handle the situation, and she did not interfere with our personal space. This gave my daughter the privacy that she needed to work through her anxiety. As well, when I questioned an order placed by my daughter's oncologist, Karen carefully listened to my concern and worked with me to create a situation that made more sense given my daughter's history with previous blood transfusions. She was also very helpful and patient with my daughter (and me) as my daughter needed assistance with her wheelchair and oxygen tank when she needed to get up to use the restroom. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Karen's ability to be present, caring, and professional with both my daughter and me during a very stressful procedure.
