Karen was nominated with another colleague on their remarkable of a patient with many social needs. These nurses provided care that was above and beyond the call of duty, to ensure that every aspect of care even after discharge was met. The significant other was provided care to ensure that his social needs were met via local resources.

Their care made such a difference to the nursing team that the Nurse Manager of that unit wrote a full page document to demonstrate how deserving of this award these nurses are.
