I had a very difficult 36-hour labor with my first child.
I am so thankful that I had Karen as my nurse for both day shifts when I was in labor.
She advocated for my needs and wants; she encouraged me when I felt like giving up and provided the calmest words when I was in the most pain.
If I would not have had her by my side, I would have had a much different labor experience.
She was constantly engaged in my care; she even greeted my husband and me in the hallway before she knew that we were her patients.
She walked us through each process and was available to answer any questions or concerns we had.
I cannot begin to thank Karen enough for what she did for me during my labor.
