Karen provided care for me both times I had Cataract surgery. I was extremely anxious and apprehensive about the surgery; however, Karen's calm, professional, and personable manner helped me to relax. She exemplifies the value of excellence by the work she does with patients. Her compassion is very evident when providing care. Even though I am a nurse, she did not expect me to be a nurse during the time I was there and treated me like a valued patient. The quality of her work is evident; even though the unit was very busy both days I was there. Karen did not miss a beat as she got me ready for surgery.
