Karen demonstrates compassionate care on a daily basis. Just today, Karen knew a patient was coming in for monthly treatment and loves to eat a snack of Frito chips. Our clinic was out and dietary reported they were out as well. Karen quietly stepped out and showed up back after buying the chips at the hospital store just before the patient arrived and had it ready for him. This may seem small but she performs these small acts of kindness to patients and coworkers all the time. She carries these small acts of kindness with a humble heart without expecting anything in return.
