In my journey of medical appointments and health concerns with both me and my son. I wanted to thank Nurse Karen for her support, compassion, and expertise. I sensed her genuine concern for our well-being and created an environment for me to be able to share my concerns about my health and the questions I needed. She listens and is very attentive. She educated me when I had symptoms that felt abnormal and if she did not have an answer, she quickly books an appointment for me to speak with my provider at the earliest he has available. Her compassion and commitment to excellent patient-centered care truly make her a true DAISY Nurse.

Navigating the medical system is easily confusing to people when we don’t deal with it every day.  Karen was there to help me out when my PCM was out of office and I needed help in multiple areas. She helped resolve the multiple hiccups with medication refills and even walked me through scheduling appointments for multiple services. She could have easily deferred me to call a number and figure it out on my own but I am thankful that she took the time to walk me through every step. It is a breath of fresh air to get a nurse who cares about clients and will take time out of their extremely busy day to provide superior customer care.

Ms. Karen has been helping me throughout my medical journey at HSM-37. She advocated for me and helped to push a rheumatology referral that I desperately needed. She kept trying when no one else would. Every time I messaged my provider, she answered in a timely manner and provided me with the most helpful information. I knew every time I needed an answer, Ms. Karen would be on the other end, giving me all she could! I showed up in person to ask to meet her and talk about my ongoing medical issues, and she came out right away and reassured me everything was going to be OK. She is the prime example of professionalism and someone with the most empathy and understanding. She is amazing. Thank you, RN Karen!
