Karen Melendez, BSN, RN

Karen wore so many hats and provided exemplary care for my husband during her very long shift! I believe she should be used as a role model not only for her knowledge and technical nursing skills, but for her communication and problem-solving skills. I was discussing some of the challenges we faced with the doctor, and I was so impressed with her care that I asked her to join our discussion. We presented all the facts and discussed them, and she came up with a solution that made everything much easier for all of us: my husband, myself, Karen, and the doctors. I was very impressed! Please acknowledge Karen. She truly deserves kudos for her contributions.
