Karen Melton, RN

Karen is the epitome of what this organization is about. She is competent and compassionate in the care that she gives each and every one of our patients. There was a patient recently who had a pretty significant wound, one of the biggest I've ever seen. She was so patient and kind to this woman. The process of cleaning and changing her wound vac dressings was painful and time-consuming. The patient was very vocal about her discomfort, but Karen remained patient and compassionate toward her experience each time. The patient expressed her gratitude to me multiple times with how much she appreciated Karen and her kindness.

Karen is also a great team player. She never shy's away from helping anyone with anything. Any day you can find her running the floor answering call lights, assisting patients to the bathroom, drawing blood, or starting IVs on any patient that needs it. I know when Karen walks into a room that the patient is going to receive the best care this hospital has to offer, and we are so lucky to have her on our team!!
