Karen Moses is an amazing nurse and she sets the example of how all PSA nurses should perform. She takes action by ensuring proper communication between all professionals involved in her patient's care. She maintains a positive attitude no matter what situation she is in and does not hesitate to act during an emergency. Karen gives care by helping her case managers complete post-hospitalization paperwork and ensuring no supervisory visits are missed. She is very detailed in her documentation which provides accurate information for the parents, case managers and doctors. She also goes out of her way to come to the office for any supplies and paperwork to ensure the family does not run out of either. Karen has built trust with not only her patients but their families as well. She is the epitome of dependable and her integrity does not go unnoticed with the family.
Many times the family will adjust their personal schedule in a way that accommodates Karen's availability because of the kind of care Karen offers to the patient. I have worked around many nurses in the last 7 years and I cannot think of one who deserved this prestigious award more than Karen Moses.
