Karen was nominated because she has shown extraordinary compassion for her patients on several occasions. She has helped with the loss of a pregnancy at 17-weeks and then later, when Karen learned of the same patient losing her home to a house fire, Karen started a Go Fund Me page and collected items from 3 counties for the family and brought them to the family. She did this not because she was asked, she just did it, and goes above and beyond to ensure her patients and families are well cared for and we are greatly honored that Karen is a part of our Mercy team in Fort Smith!
