Had to come in on a Saturday for gall bladder removal. Karen was very caring – making sure the patient (husband) was as comfortable as could be despite the pain. Explained everything she was doing in terms we could understand. Asked if we had any questions. She was diligent about cleaning her hands – as she came in and out of the room. Just plain ole kindness which goes a long way! This sounds simple but to us, it meant a lot – as we were nervous – and unsure of what to expect. A shout out to RNs in ER. We had to come into ER 2x in a week – they were so helpful.
