Karen Perez 2026, BSN, RN
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding care I received during my recent hospitalization. I have always believed that nurses are the backbone of patient care, and my experience only reinforced that belief. Every nurse I encountered provided excellent care, compassion, and professionalism.
However, there is one individual who truly set a bar of excellence that few could ever hope to reach— Karen Perez
Karen was my superhero during one of the most painful experiences I have endured in my 57 years. My pain levels escalated from a 4 to what felt like an 11 on a scale of 10. My medications were being adjusted frequently, and at times, the side effects were as difficult to manage as the pain itself.
Throughout it all, Karen was more than just a nurse. She was supportive, an exceptional listener, and a strong advocate for my care. She guided me through moments of fear and uncertainty, helping me feel safe and reassured that I was receiving the best possible treatment. She consistently reminded me that I was not alone and that the entire team was working toward my recovery.
Karen had an incredible ability to anticipate my needs—whether it was offering an ice pack, adjusting a pillow, or simply providing a warm blanket or a comforting touch on my arm during the most difficult moments. She brought comfort, warmth, and even moments of laughter when I needed them most. Karen is my superhero!
I will never truly be able to thank Karen enough for the impact she had on my healing journey. I hope that she, along with the entire surgical floor nursing team, receives the recognition they so greatly deserve. They are truly the superheroes who help patients get through their most challenging times and back to living their lives.
