We are a large family. My mom has thirteen children, 18 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. We were all present daily during her hospitalization. Although there were plenty of us, Nurse Karen went out of her way to be patient and professional while we were present. My mom had five excessive bowel movements throughout the night. However, Karen carefully and discretely treated her with dignity, as she gently cleaned her. She always makes sure that my mother is dry, clean, and calm. Karen provided extraordinary care. We are grateful to have her. She is an amazing nurse.
