Karen Rodriguez exemplifies everything a nurse should be. She is always caring and compassionate with all the patients and always acts in the patient's best interest. She has an excellent attitude at all times that not only positively affects the patients but also her coworkers. She has served as an excellent preceptor and sets the highest example of what nursing is about. Always willing to help her coworkers and go the extra mile for the patients and the hospital.
When I visited a patient at home he had very positive things to say about the hospital but could not stop talking about how excellent of a nurse Karen is. He asked me if I could please recognize her. This is not an isolated incident, as she frequently receives patient's compliments. For these reasons I truly feel thatKaren Rodriguezdeserves the DAISY Award.
