Karen San Miguel, RN

I was transported to the Sacramento Medical Center for the following morning spinal surgery. I believe that my assigned nurse on the 4th floor was named Karen San Miguel. She was very efficient and thorough at her job. Karen was also very personable and caring with her words and actions. She made me feel important by checking on me often and answering my calls immediately. Karen and actually all of the covering nursing staff were great. I felt safe and less nervous about the upcoming surgery, and they kept my pain at a comfortable level until the procedure could be performed. This entire hospital encounter was unplanned and nerve-wracking. Karen and the nurse staff made it bearable and even sent a “get well” card the following week. You guys give nurses and Kaiser Permanente a good name, and I appreciate your compassion.
