Karen demonstrates the pillars of caring, integrity, and teamwork every single day. Not only is she always smiling with her patients, but she does so with her peers. She is always in a good mood and makes work a joy. She truly cares about each patient; everyone is a VIP. She advocates for her patients when something is not right and soothes them with her extremely caring nature. She also helps our unit out a great deal, as she precepts orientees (including me), volunteers her time to help other nurses out, and takes the charge phone even when no one wants it. Karen is truly an incredible nurse and I feel so lucky to work alongside her!
