Karen was my father's nurse. My father is hard of hearing even with his hearing aid. Since he was an incoming patient, he was placed in a semi private room which made it uncomfortable for my father as well as his roommate, since we had to relay information and talk loudly. Karen acted in the best interest of my father and his roommate. She was instrumental in helping us move him to a private room. Karen understood that because of my father's hearing impairment it was in his best interest to have him in a room with his family who could speak loudly and freely. My father was relieved that we were able to be with him overnight in his private room. This was such a comfort to us all. It made a stressful situation less stressful to us all.
Karen understood our needs and acted in his best interest to assure a positive outcome. She is a wonderful, intelligent and compassionate nurse.
