My wife received medical treatment for a heart-related condition at UW Health at The American Center. Staff at that location deemed it necessary, after some testing, that she be transferred to UW Hospital ER. Not only am I employed by the Madison Police Department, but other family members have been treated at UW Hospital ER on Highland in the past. I say that to illustrate that I am familiar with the facility and I have interacted with numerous staff at the location.
On this visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality that Karen showed to us. I do not recall ever receiving the type of welcome and attention that she provided on this day. Karen was working as the first point of contact in the ER. It's very important to have friendly, knowledgeable, customer service focused staff. That rings especially true for those that you have representing your business at the first point of contact. Karen did a phenomenal job tonight and I would like that she be recognized for her commitment to the great customer experience at UW Hospital ER.
