Karen was nominated by a co-worker for her assessment skills and persistence. While caring for one of her patients, Karen noticed the patient's demeanor changed in a short amount of time. She contacted the Rapid Response Team and the patient's doctor. A procedure was ordered, and it was discovered that intensive care was needed. Thanks to Karen, her patient received the speedy treatment she needed.
