I discharged a patient that Karen had cared for in the ER. The patient could not say enough about the care she received from Karen. Ms. C. stated she did not need much in the way of "clinical" nursing care but each time Karen entered her room, she gave her a kind, compassionate smile and very supportive words. She said Karen made her feel relaxed and comfortable that everything was being done for her. At the end of her ER visit, Ms. C. felt all had been taken care of and explained well to her. She wanted us to know what a great job Karen had done making her feel safe and comfortable.
