Karen Vicknair, BSN, RN, OCN

Karen is a superb nurse who is constantly putting the needs of others before her own. She provides high-quality care by fighting for her patients and by encouraging them to continue to fight. She provides comfort and compassion by listening to the patient and ensuring they have the necessary items during the infusion. The clinic would not move without Karen. She fights for her staff and team to have the environment needed to succeed in providing great care to our Texas Oncology patients. Karen communicates effectively, fosters a collaborative environment, empowers team members by delegating tasks appropriately, provides clear expectations, listens to any concerns, recognizes achievements, and supports professional development; essentially, she creates a positive and productive work environment.
