Ms. Karen pretty much, while taking care of other patients, held my hand and talked me out of leaving the ED a few times. Besides just holding my hand she gave me wonderful emotional support and wiped away my tears. I was glad she was my nurse. Had she not been there I don't know what I would have done. Giving emotional support along with the physical can sometimes be just as important. Karen did her job well while also caring for other patients.
