A patient in the care of Karen Yeaney had limited resources to travel and wanted to visit his dying sister in Wisconsin one last time. Karen worked diligently using established and new-found VA resources to support the Veteran on his journey. He had a car ride with his brother which was the only way he could afford to go but he is on 7 LPM of oxygen and wouldn't have enough thanks to make it there and back. Karen arranged for oxygen supplies adequate to get him to his sister and refills in Wisconsin for the return home. She also arranged for backups with the VA facilities between Erie, PA and Wisconsin in case of a failure in his oxygen supply. This Veteran can breathe easier because of the whole and complete high-quality care he was given!
