My father is a patient and was a member of the pro-time clinic in your office. In November he was having consistently high numbers. He ended up having a GI bleed, put in the hospital and rehab, and taken off coumadin as result, but the reason I am emailing you is concerning the nurse who took care of him that particular day. Karesse called me the day that he was being sent to the hospital. She explained every step of the process and everything that was going on. I live out of state and was trying to figure out how to get to him to make sure he was okay but by the end of the day and I knew he was in great hands with her. Transport was apparently backed up that day and it took a few hours to get him to the hospital. She stayed with him and allowed him to stay in her office, she fed him, and went with him to his car and helped him gather anything he needed. I know this may not sound like much but for my dad, it meant the world. He is used to doing everything on his own, he never has help since me and my brother live out of town. But this nurse or "angel" as my dad calls her took her time and made him feel safe, she made him feel important. He was scared not knowing what was going on, I was scared as well but Karesse spoke to both of us as we were her own family and made sure I knew everything that was going on. I have never received care like that in my life and I know my dad hasn't either. He asked for her every day in the hospital and even went back to the pro-time clinic to thank her but I feel like it isn't enough, she truly made a difference in my life and my dad's and I don't think it should go unnoticed. Thank you for the opportunity to make her feel half as important and loved as she made my family feel that day.
