Kari consistently went above and beyond, demonstrating a tireless work ethic and an unwavering commitment to me. She approached each task with meticulous attention to detail. Kari executed her responsibilities with precision and compassion.
I must give this nurse lots of credit and understanding. Kari has been the best nurse for my husband. Very understanding and takes her time to listen and chat with us. Most of the time, nurses are in a hurry and don’t care about their patients, but Kari was very understanding and showed us compassion.

I had great care while I was at MercyOne Newton after I had my knee replaced last month. I especially want to thank Kari Lovelace for being so compassionate and providing me with exceptional care. I was blessed to have her as my nurse for 5 days. She made sure my pain was under control, answered all my questions and was so kind to my family and I. Kari embodies the essence of nursing excellence. Her warmth and genuine concern created an environment of comfort and trust, instantly putting me at ease. Her exceptional interpersonal skills were a testament to her ability to connect with me on a personal level, fostering a sense of reassurance during what was a challenging time for myself and my family.

She patiently explained specific tasks and earnestly trained the student nurse who was with her so that the student could gain confidence in her training.
What truly sets Kari apart is her innate ability to empathize with my family and me (as I am sure she is with all her patients and their families). She not only addressed my physical needs but also recognized the importance of addressing my emotional needs. Her compassionate nature shined through in every interaction, creating a healing atmosphere that extended beyond the hospital setting. I left MercyOne Newton knowing that I had the best care due to Kari advocating for my needs.

My Mom was an RN for 50 years at MMSC. Kari took the time to talk about nursing and Mom's career during her stay. It meant SO much to Mom. She also provided exceptional care for Mom. Oh, and she did all this, knowing she was about to drive home in a blizzard. Thank you, and God Bless You, Kari!

Kari was always quick to respond with such a wonderful attitude, whether changing the bed after an accident or finding suggestions for care. We have been here almost a week and it’s been a rollercoaster of issues. Kari explained everything in detail, not only to my mom but to each of us. One of the days, Mom was having a rough day, and Kari started talking to her about nursing, as my mom had been a nurse for 50 years. My mom lit up, and Kari even got her to eat something! Her humor helped comfort my mom and brought her joy. You are an angel, Kari, and a blessing to all who receive your care. God Bless you. You touch lives with care and compassion.
