Kari Bloomer, BSN, RN

Kari is a very competent new nurse who spends a lot of time with patients. She was very patient and was worried about the patient's urine color and smell. She stayed in touch with the provider and was convinced that the urine sample smelled like stool. She made provider decision-making easy. The patient was found colonelcies fistula. Her prompt critical thinking and communication led to an in time diagnosis which should be encouraged and awarded for a new graduate RN.

Kari is a dedicated patient advocate who demonstrates the core values of reverence, stewardship, and safety each day. She is kind, and compassionate, and uses her assessment skills to not only ensure her patients are cared for safely and holistically. Kari is also a team player, always willing to help her peers.
