Kari is fabulous. I did CNA work for years. I know what is expected of us as well as nurses, which is a tremendous amount. Nurse Kari was his only nurse who explained what she was doing before she actually did it! She answered all of our questions together in terms we could actually understand even though it took a time or two sometimes. The nature and location of the injury are particularly sensitive as well. He had a huge abscess on his scrotum that had to be surgically removed. Of all the CNAs or nurses that came into the room while I was there, Kari was indeed the most gentle and soothing while explaining the whole time she was changing the dressing. My husband said he favored her by far. He said he just didn't mind her helping him as much. I'll also share the fact that my husband and I are both in recovery. Her compassion and caring on that subject while his pain level was up was amazing.
