Kari Howell floated to our unit and assumed care of a comfort care patient. She provided exceptional, compassionate care. The following day she was sent to the unit to assist and came to bathe the patient and spend time with her. She checked on the patient frequently during her shift. The next day, Kari was off and came in to sit with the patient. Knowing she loves the outdoors, she brought a sound machine with outdoor sounds and sat at the patient's bedside to comfort her. Kari provides incredible end of life care, knowing we only have one time to do it right.
