Kari is one the best nurses that I have had the pleasure to work with. She is certainly a team player! You never have to ask her to do anything because she is usually thinking of you and has already anticipated what you need. Kari always has a smile on her face. The families notice how great her attitude is and have commented on how charming she is for the patients. Kari is able to bond with the patients and make them feel safe and happy. I had one particular patient that loved Kari so much that we had to call her on vocera just so that this patient could tell her hello.

When the patient first came to our area, this patient was nonverbal, so it was very emotional to hear his little voice! I cannot think of another nurse more deserving of this award!
